On Sunday, March 22, 2020, the Director of the Ohio Department of Health executed a Stay At Home Order for the State of Ohio, which took effect on March 23, 2020 at 11:59PM.
Per Item 2 of the Order, while all non-essential businesses and operations are required to cease all activities “all Essential Businesses and Operations are encouraged to remain open.”
Varland Plating Co. meets the definition of Essential Businesses and Operations per Items 12.q and 12.v of the Stay At Home Order. Per Item 12.q. Varland supplies other Essential Businesses and Operations with material (plating) necessary to operate. Per Item 12.v. Varland is a supply chain company supplying essential products and services (plating) for industries listed in Item 12.v.
Based on being defined as an Essential Business, Varland Plating Co. has every intention of remaining open and servicing our customer’s needs during the time Ohio’s Stay At Home Order is in effect. While we will strive to meet all of your scheduling requirements, we will give you as much advance notice as possible if and when a delivery or shipment schedule cannot be met.
We will also be continuing with efforts to protect our employees (and others) from the spread of COVID-19 by checking employee temperatures, enforcing social distancing and hand washing requirements, eliminating business travel and unnecessary visits from non-employees to our facility, and by all other required and practical measures.
While we don’t anticipate any change to our operational status, we will make every attempt to contact you if modifications need to be made. We will also be updating our company’s website, www.varland.com, if any changes should occur.
Thank you again for your business and our ongoing partnership. Please contact our Sales Dept. if you have any further questions.
